Davis-Standard, LLC said that during the Chinaplas 2021, which will be held in Shenzhen, China, from April 13th to 16th, it will launch a total solution including product functions and support services at Booth R11 in Hall 10 . After canceling so many COVID-19 shows, the team said it looks forward to reconnecting with customers and the larger plastic community. The company said it will promote its global after-sales service and equipment technology in sheet, foam, blown film, thermoforming, pipe, profile and pipe, cast film, extrusion coating and liquid coating.

Specifically for Asia, Davis-Standard's high-output systems for medical tubing, cast film, blown film and extrusion coating have been used in medical and packaging applications. The company added that its installed base continues to grow, and vertical opportunities for aftermarket upgrades and production line optimization to improve performance continue to grow. This includes opportunities for improving processing efficiency, reducing waste and long-term sustainability to support profitability and better products.

Davis Standard (Suzhou) Machinery Co., Ltd. is said to be the core of the company's focus on customers and expansion in Asia. Development in the fields of machine manufacturing and assembly, inventory and after-sales service, field service engineering, and customer on-site installation are critical to supporting customers. Suzhou is also a R&D center for testing rigid and flexible packaging products. In 2019, Davis-Standard added a 35,000 square foot (3,251 square meter) facility near the existing Suzhou store to install control panel components and provide storage.

Davis-Standard said it will highlight its dsX flex-pack 300S during the exhibition. This single-station extrusion and composite production line is a collaboration between Davis Standard's design teams in the United States, Germany, and China, and is built at the Suzhou plant to meet the requirements of the Asian flexible packaging market.

The company stated that the device is beneficial to processors because it adapts to the pricing, machine footprint, output and key technical attributes required by Asian customers. The 300S can support web widths of 650 to 1,350 mm. It is designed to handle papers, films and aluminum foils with direct gravure primer coating and co-extrusion lamination stations with a design processing speed of up to 300 meters per minute. It is said that the hallmarks of the production line include consistent end product quality, longer uptime and productivity, reduced waste and application versatility.

As global factories move towards higher efficiency, smart factory solutions will also be demonstrated.

The company stated that it has integrated interconnectivity and functionality through the Industrial Internet of Things (IIoT) to analyze real-time KPIs and enable alarms or action reminders through the machine control system. The DS Activ-Check system is designed to monitor the key parameters of the processing line (extruder, laminator, casting section, coating machine, unwinder, winder) in order to use a configurable dashboard to provide an early stage of potential failures Informs and valuable data for process improvement.

Visitors to the booth can find information about each Davis-Standard product line, including recently acquired equipment technologies. Maillefer has provided wire and cable as well as pipe and tube equipment worldwide to complement the FPVC medical tubing and co-extrusion applications supported by the Suzhou base. This includes pipes and piping systems used in automobiles, heating and plumbing, irrigation, medical, micropipes, offshore and custom pipelines. The addition of Brampton Engineering further supports the regional infrastructure for blown film applications. Thermoforming Systems LLC (TSL) enables Davis-Standard to provide sheet extrusion, die, automation and pelletizing solutions to support thermoforming applications such as cold drink cups/lids, fast food takeaway containers, clam shells and Noodle bowls, fruit punnets and coffee pods. Recently, Deacro was added

The industrial sector has increased equipment options for high-performance slitting, rewinding and reel processing equipment for the conversion process of paper, film and foil materials.
